A while ago I introduced you guys to the Choir of Hard Knocks, created by world renowned Australian tenor, Jonathon Welch. The choir was formed for the homeless and disadvantaged people of Melbourne.

You’ve gotta love the internet because Jonathan came across the post and left a comment saying how grateful he was for everyone’s kind words. He also intimated the Choir had since been through quite a few changes (a change of name to the Choir of Hope and Inspiration being one).

Happy New Year everyone!

So the goal of consuming my weight in rum balls over the festive season came to a grinding halt when I realised Mum hadn’t made any this year. My mortification was, however, more than alleviated with rum (without the balls) and Mum’s famous sago plum pudding.

With the festive season over and my liver screaming for mercy, it’s now time to find a detox facility and begin the task of starting a new year (and decade no less).

Hands and feet

It’s easy to take things for granted. How about your right arm? If you’ve got one, I’m pretty confident you’d be a little peeved if you lost it. How about both arms and legs? Life would be drastically different without them. Driving, picking things up, turning a door knob, holding your child, patting your dog, not to mention, walking – all simple activities we do on a regular basis that without arms and legs would seem impossible.
