Cocktail of the Day!

Yes folks, I’m back! I’ve returned from my adventures in Hawaii a little browner, pudgier and poorer than I left. Saying it was a fun trip would be a gross understatement. I am likely however, to be in Mai Tai detox for the next 6 months.

Not surprisingly I have more than one story to impart, some life lessons learned, a major Daisy List goal ticked off and a comical experience with an out of control, bright blue, 3 wheel moped we affectionately called the Smurfette Mobile (let’s just say I am grateful to still be here to recount the story). Plenty of writing fodder for the next couple of weeks!

A HUGE thanks to the kick arse guest posters who kept the home fires stoked while I was away and to those who welcomed them in the comments. Muchly appreciated!

Oh, and just in case you’re wondering; no, we didn’t win the tennis tournament. Actually, we only marginally took out second last place out of about a dozen teams.

Apparently our shots were so random, our competitors didn’t know whether to expect a scorching winner or a shot over the fence onto the court next door (at least it was in, just slightly misdirected). We like to think of it as strategic play rather than ineptitude – consistently inconsistent if you will.

Oh well, had it been a Mai Tai drinking tournament, I would have been a shoe in. ;)

    Welcome back, Sami!!!

Look at you – so rested and such. How awesome it that!!?!

It was fun helping hold down the LL&L fort for you, too. Thanks for having me (us)! Your readers are a trip, especially that Mum May!

As for the Smurfette Mobile, wow, I’m not sure I want the details about that. Maybe you should keep those to yourself. ;)

Have a great week, Sami! 8)

Thanks Lori! As much as I had a kick arse holiday, it is good to be back.
You’re very welcome. It was very cool having you over here and yes, I have a rockin bunch of readers, especially Mum May. ;)
Haha, I’m sure Robyn (my Smurfette Mobile partner in crime) would prefer I kept the details to myself but they are too funny to do that! Take it easy Chicka.

Hey Lovely Lance! Yep, I’m in Mai Tai detox as we speak. And as for Smurfette mobile, forget details, I have video evidence!! ;)
Thanks Lance. Glad to be back.

Hey Sam. Glad you had an excellent time. I hope the abstaining from alcohol consumption before you left didn’t effect you too much once you landed! At least you weren’t last in the tennis comp. You should have got first place for outfits though!

Hey Woolly. Let’s just say abstaining from alcohol prior to leaving meant I was a cheap drunk! ;)
And the tennis outfits were designed to distract our competitors in order to give us a fighting chance. It didn’t work.
